In this week episode the guys discuss two main topics as well as some banter into a few other things. The first topic covers the current state of WWE females and how the booking in AEW is far stronger in this current environment. The second topic covers Danhausen and the immense amount of exposure he's getting from the WWE. Are they overexposing one of the most popular characters?

Thank you for listening to our podcast!

SPEAKER_01

What's up guys? Welcome back to the Free Stages of Arts podcast. This is episode 28. As always, your three guys, Shay, Brooks, Ryan, guys, what's up this week?

SPEAKER_00

SummerSlam's this weekend. We're going to SummerSlam this weekend. That's what's up. Yeah, and I'll be watching you guys on TV.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which summer.

SPEAKER_03

Which this is not one of the topics for today, but did y'all see the new YouTube premium announcement?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, about the shows being on YouTube TV?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so if you have YouTube TV, you get to watch the pay-per-views now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I can cancel my ESPN.

SPEAKER_03

Absolutely. That's what I'm gonna do. And apparently also um Peacock is getting bundled in as well.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah. Heck yeah, man. I don't know. When's the last time I actually used my YouTube TV?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I uh that's the only way I can get NXT here for some reason. So I'm like, with YouTube? Yeah, with YouTube TV itself, the whatever it is. Yeah, cancel cancel my ESPN so I can just continue to use my brother's YouTube TV account.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah, that's I mean I'm so when does that take effect?

SPEAKER_03

They said that SummerSlam will be on it. So it's supposed to take effect here sometime between now and Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

What that's crazy. Alright guys, so we have we have two topics today. Two topics for you today, and I'm gonna kick things off because you're like because and I was like, no, day rocks. Oh yeah. Well today, Raquel Day Rocks. Yes, because Raquel Rodriguez just won the women's intercontinental title, which I believe is like the first truly deserving woman to win a title in WWE in a long time. I feel like she's put in a lot of work, even remember when like Kevin Ash was saying she needs to be more powerful, uh, she needs to do more like you know, big female moves and just be more imposing, and she like took that and she like made some changes, and she's been one of the more refreshing women on the roster, even though she hasn't been given like a larger spot on the show. But I thought of this topic because I've been looking at all of the current female champions. I'm looking at Brebella and Paige as women's women's tag champs. I'm looking at well, they just lost them, but they were champions.

SPEAKER_03

But they're not now.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I know, yeah, I know, I know not now, but we don't have any we won't have any news on fatal influence yet, because they haven't, you know, you know what I mean. Um, I'm looking at Liv Morgan, who has been one of the worst champions in recent history with this current run. I'm looking at Tiffany Stratton as the U.S. champ who has been super bland as champ. I'm looking back at Jay Cargill, whose title reign was very mediocre. All these women that are that are holding these titles, Sol Ruka included, I feel like they just kind of rushed her into a belt, and she didn't really do the belt any justice either. And I'm looking at WWE and how they're portraying their women, and right now it just seems like booking is so milkedtoast. It it's it's bad, right? And then I look over on the AW side, and I feel like things are so much stronger on the other side. Like Tecla has absolutely been killing it as champ. She's no longer champ now. Willow is, but even like Willow, like there's no way that Willow's gonna fail as champion. And and of course, Monet's back, and Brooks, I know you uh don't get into uh Monet matches, but it just feels like night and day right now, current booking between AW females and WWE females, and I don't know why WWE booking is failing so hard right now.

SPEAKER_03

Any thoughts? Uh I am gonna preface this with I think Willow's not gonna have a good title run. I think she's dropping into Monet at the very next pay-per-view. No, yeah, yeah. No, I think they only moved it over to her so that could be a face to drop it to Monet. She's not transitional. I think she is. I think that's exactly what's gonna happen. Um the WWE women's division, it it's like you said, it's just stagnant feeling. They don't they don't freshen it up. It like you would have thought when Soul came up, that would have been a way to freshen things up a little bit. Apparently Lola Vice is expected to come up probably next week. No, yeah, it looks like it looks like next week after SummerSlam, she's expected to come to SmackDown.

SPEAKER_01

They're gonna see that.

SPEAKER_03

And then they'll yeah, they said they'll probably book her fine for the first few weeks and then it'll immediately be back to nothing with her. Um, I don't know, other uh like so other than Rockell winning the title, I I can't really you were listing off some of the champions, and I was like, I don't even know what the last time they did something that mattered, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right. And they're so popular though, like they're so popular with the fans, but they're they don't defend the titles, they just walk around like it's a piece of jewelry, basically. And I don't I don't understand why. I don't get it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I uh the the the differences between the AEW women's roster and the AEW women's roster it that sticks out the most for me is how how often they switch up the like the top women's champions because like the TBS title and the women's champion. Like right now, we just also just saw two new champions. Um and I I I I know it's a big thing because uh lately in the past like in the past couple years, a couple of the women the women's um a couple of women's champions in AEW after they've been taking off to like like Blake Monroe's now in DW, and now she also hasn't done anything in months, it feels like. Um and Paige went back to B after so long, and I feel like there's one more that I'm missing. But it's like it's well in DW it's the same few people. They're relying on Liv, they're relying on Rhea and Charlotte, but in AEW, I feel like they're just kind of relying on everyone, so it's fresh matchups, fresh faces, and we're not getting sick and tired of seeing the same people every single week, or every like for a while it was um Tony Storm, I guess in AEW, Tony Storm, but she's hurt, so it kind of gave uh someone else an opportunity, and it's been a nice, fresh, fresh feeling in the AEW to see like Willow and Sheeta, because Sheeta's always the ones they can rely on the most, I feel like, and she's always been great. Willow has impressed, I think, me the most on that whole AEW women's roster because she's become a big deal in AEW. Um, but with WWE, like you said, Liv Morgan's has to have been her most boring title ring. Like, I don't even care. I don't care for the EO and Liv match because I just had a match at like in um they have like the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament or something like that, right? Yeah, it was just so silly booking, and I'm just not even I I don't even care for like I I love Raquel. Raquel's that's that's always been nice. Like you mentioned Raquel being like the powerhouse that she should be, and I I'm liking that. I just don't really nothing's really like reeling me in with the WWE women's division right now.

SPEAKER_01

But but here's here's my thing, because like you said, you're like the AW uh roster, they kinda use everybody, right? And you have a lot of different matchups, fress matchups. It's not like they can't do that on Raw and SmackDown. The only issue is that they don't use the people that they have. Like, what the heck is Roxanne Perez just doing, just being the third wheel in the judgment day? She could be doing so much more. Uh Chelsea Green could be doing so much more. Sure, she's in the ladder match, but she has potential to do so much more. Candace Laray is just standing next to Gregano while he lays on a table. Oh god. Like Jordan Grace, they have nothing for Jordan Grace. How?

SPEAKER_03

He's also been hurt too, like off and on. But she's in she's been cleared for a while though. Yeah, so she got cleared, and then apparently she got like had another nagging injury right after that, and then got cleared again. So I it's it's the typical WWE thing where when someone starts to get hurt, especially several things back to back, they really cool off on them really fast. Right. Um I I'm hoping, and it's probably not likely, but I'm hoping in both Roxanne and Chelsea's case, with you know, Roxanne now is behind two champions, and then Chelsea with her thing with Tiffy, then eventually the plan would be to break them off and have them feud you know amongst the people they're with right now. But how long is it gonna take for them to actually do that? We know they love to split split teams up or split groups up at some point, but it could be far too long past when it should happen.

SPEAKER_01

And and where the heck is Ivy Nile?

SPEAKER_03

Oh god, yeah, exactly. I've in in catering because she's not marketable.

SPEAKER_01

Like, are the creeds even like are they still active?

SPEAKER_03

No clue.

SPEAKER_01

Right, I haven't seen them at all.

SPEAKER_03

And they'll eventually pop back up and be on the TV every week, and some other team will fall off the TV for months, and then they'll randomly be like, oh, we need to refresh it. Let's put this team back in and have them feud with the same people they've already feuded with, but it'll be a six-month gap in between, so no one should remember, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right. I feel like Ivy Nile should be out there just like choking out random uh like local females, right? Right? Similar to like a similar to like a master lock challenge, but like her own personal type of deal.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I mean, we talked about that before where they could book her kind of like Shana Baszler early on, and just have her go out there and dominate some people just to build her up.

SPEAKER_01

And and don't get me started on Kiana James, who was in the rumble, who was in Elimination Chamber, so much potential, or at least we thought, doing that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she was in that rumble for like 40 minutes, and I'm like, oh, and then she gets like a chamber spot, and it's like, okay, and then they called off there real quick.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I feel like I feel like it's always like you always have to please like the top names on the roster, so you always have to have them there, and they're just not willing to step aside, similar to the men's side of things, right?

SPEAKER_03

And like and I'm curious how much of that is a TKO business decision of like, all right, we're paying these people millions of dollars, you know, more than other people on the roster. We better get our money's worth. We need them used as much as possible, right?

SPEAKER_01

But but what's the succession plan though?

SPEAKER_03

Right. There there isn't one. But we we talked about the live like Liv's reign being boring. I feel like this has all just been wasting time. The succession plan, you ready for more repeats? I bet the care comes back at SummerSlam and goes right back after Liv and they do that all over again.

SPEAKER_00

Oh gosh. Crazy is Liv hasn't defended the title since since she won it. Like she hasn't defended it at all.

SPEAKER_01

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

She won it at Mania, and she hasn't defended it.

SPEAKER_01

And how did how do you say that this this person's been championed for however so many days they're breaking records when they don't even defend the belts?

SPEAKER_03

Same was said about Jade when she was the one in the stamp. Yeah, she went a long time without defending either.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because she hurt she hurt the whole, I think it was B Fab and Mechan.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, B Fab and Meechin.

SPEAKER_00

They both got hurt, apparently.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I remember that too.

SPEAKER_03

So then they put him with her. Right. It's the old it's the old Undertaker putting Viscera in the ministry. At least if he's with us, he can't hurt us.

SPEAKER_01

Right, true. So true. That's funny. That's funny. So yeah, I mean, I I don't know. Like, I I feel bad for Blake Monroe because I I know they're not going to use her to her potential at this point.

SPEAKER_03

And at least they got started at what she's been attacking Candace lately. So at least that's they're doing something with them besides just standing in the background. It's at least starting to do something, whether or not it actually goes anywhere is questionable.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. And and I guess the verdict's still out on Fatal Influence, right? Now that they have the belts, and I don't know what they're doing with JC, but I can assume that JC's gonna have a prominent spot, you know, through the the rest of the year. So maybe they're gonna move them three up. I don't know. I don't know. But I I don't look forward to any NXT debuts at this point. I I just don't think that any of this is gonna turn out positive. Like Callie Armstrong is like uh uh a really good name in NXT that I think can fit in really well, especially if Bianca's out for an extended time. I think she can definitely fill that role, but I I'm I don't have much faith in any of the NXT call-ups right now because of the case.

SPEAKER_03

Which is crazy because I feel like just a few months ago we were talking about how NXT's women's division was on fire and they were taking up 80% of the cards every week. And then it's like, all right, y'all can come up to the main roster and we'll come find you in a few months and have you do something. I don't know what it'll be yet.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Alright. I don't want to talk about it anymore, it makes me angry. All right, let's let's transition. Let's hop over to let's hop over to your topic.

SPEAKER_03

We got all right, so we're gonna talk about Danhausen. Oh geez. Um like obviously he's he's very over, but are they are they starting to do too much with him? Is he gonna get overexposed too quickly? Like with him being seemingly everywhere right now, he's always on the show. The New York stuff, he was all over the place having his own parade and all that kind of stuff. But I feel like eventually, and last night might have been the start of it, the uh eventually you start to overexpose him, and by using him so much, does the creative start giving him cringe segments instead of entertaining segments, i.e. last night's whatever you want to call that?

SPEAKER_01

So I was on X yesterday, and just reading people's comments about the segment. Of course, you had your vocal crowd that was like, you know, that was stupid. Uh, this is cringe, you know, one of the worst segments in raw history, blah blah blah. But then you have people out there that were like, I really like the song, I really like this, I really like the segment. I just thought it went too long.

SPEAKER_03

Right. So and that's and that's part of the problem too. When they get behind someone like a Danhausen, they instead of them, he could very well have had a moment backstage or a brief just like interruption singing that song, he and Hendry, for 20 seconds, and people would have been just fine with it. Yeah, but when you start going five, six, seven minutes with it, that's where it gets to be too much, and then people start getting sick of it, and you can't do that with so much until people stop being interested.

SPEAKER_01

So do you think that maybe TKO is saying, like, okay, he's hot right now, let's get let's make the money on him right now because you don't know how long it's going to last.

SPEAKER_03

100%.

SPEAKER_01

Hmm.

SPEAKER_03

There's no doubt. They're gonna they will probably burn him out, and then at some point, TKO will throw him away. Man, that's great. Like, all right, we've made what we needed to off of him.

SPEAKER_00

Well, how how I think they can get a lot out of Danhausen. They've they they got like I think they got they showed off like six figures for Danhausen coming.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because they know they're gonna make money off of it.

SPEAKER_00

Danhausen's gonna be in Minneapolis this weekend in like an ice cream truck or some shit. I'm like, what?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, this is yeah, I saw that.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I'm definitely gonna try and give me some Danhausen ice cream this weekend, guys. If I see the truck, I'm running after it.

SPEAKER_01

I wonder if it's gonna be Danhausen ice cream or just a truck with Danhausen face on it that has ice cream.

SPEAKER_02

It's gonna be the WWE ice cream bars. Thanks, CM Punk. I mean, I'm cool with that if it's those. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um yeah. I guess it I'm thinking like I can't really think of uh uh another comedic talent that has been used like as much as Danhausen is right now. Like even our truth, his segments are typically short. A couple one-liners kind of thing, and then they move on. Enough to get a a quick laugh, and then they move on from him. Like Danhausen's segments team tend to be you know five, ten minutes long at this point, and you get a few laughs, and then you're kind of like, alright, let's let's move on with something else now. Santino Morella? Yeah, so I guess he did at times have longer segments too, but even him, a lot of them were it was a couple stupid one-liners and then some physical comedy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But then they and then then they incorporated the cobra.

SPEAKER_03

Cobra! That was but that was a cheap pop thing. That was like Mick's Mr. Sacco.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. He won matches with that thing.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, he did, which was disgusting if you think about it. Um he pulled that sock out off of his dick and then scrubbed it down people's mouths. Like that was gross. Um plus Mick wasn't known to be the most cleanly guy in the first place.

SPEAKER_04

Wait, what?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you didn't hear about how like cheap Foley was? Like he would he would even up until like through the time when he won the world title, and for several years past that, he was so cheap he wouldn't he wouldn't rent hotel rooms, he would just sleep in the car and skip showering. Oh so he wasn't the cleanest person. So imagine this dude that wasn't showering consistently, pulling a fucking sock out out of his sweaty balls and shoving it in your mouth. Like, I can't imagine too many people were happy about that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I didn't hear that story.

SPEAKER_03

It was in I think his book and The Rock's book both talked about it. Oh, geez. One of Mike's books he's got so um what was gonna say. Also, like it like Joe Hendry has cooled off so much, so I don't know if that that thought from last night was can we use Danhausen to try to heat Joe back up? And then I feel like it's having the opposite effect. I don't know, I don't know. I feel like they need to find a sweet spot of using Danhausen without using him way too much.

SPEAKER_01

See, but why? But why has Joe Hendry cooled off so much?

SPEAKER_03

Because they haven't booked him to do shit. I mean, I know at one point wasn't he helping the Street Prophets at one point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I don't know if that paid off at all or if they even followed up on that, or and and it's like he disappeared for a couple weeks, and then he just happened to pop back up again, and I the attention span of fans, I mean, they how quickly they forget you break somebody's momentum, they just they can't just hop back in.

SPEAKER_03

And and it's not like they don't have a proven formula that works for that kind of talent. Elias got over. He didn't have to wrestle every week. All he had to do was come out and strong the guitar and say a few words and either run off like a chicken shit or get dropped without actually having a match, and it worked. Yeah, like Joe can just come out, interrupt someone, make fun of them without having to do anything physical and keep things going, right? Or do a random concert or whatever the case may be, and it'll be fine. Eventually put him in the matches. But the the the stop and start booking is not gonna help him.

SPEAKER_01

So what's next for Dan Housen besides the monies on the poll?

SPEAKER_00

I don't even start on the money that's on the poll. That's a stupid. Booking.

SPEAKER_03

That's that fits Danhausen's funny gimmick, though. It's not like it's two serious wrestlers fighting over Viagra on a pole.

SPEAKER_01

Is it funny though?

SPEAKER_03

It's it fits his gimmick of I took their money and I I I think it only works if they'd have put it on any other person besides a Danhausen match, then it wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. But at least with Danhausen, there's some semi-logic to it that is like okay, this is gonna be alright. And I'm sure it'll be it'll have its comedic moments. I'm expecting like some of the crap like when Sammy and Johnny Knoxville fought and they just pulled out random shit to to make the humorous. I feel like that kind of stuff is going to happen. Or even if Dom manages to get the monies on a poll and then he opens it and something blows up in his face or something. Like it's it's not gonna be a straightforward someone wins money.

SPEAKER_01

Right. I don't know. I kind of feel bad for Mysterio in the same way that I feel bad for the Miz.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Miz is the only Miz, by the way. He's not the Mike, he's the Miz. Oh, dude, he's so funny. But see, in Miz's case, and in our truth's case, they both at times have shown that they can be serious. Oh, yeah. And taken and taken seriously.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

What's going to happen when people start to get bored of Danhausen? I don't feel like they can turn him heel and make him a serious threat. So, like, like at some point when they burn through this, what do you do then? Uh I don't know. I just I don't see where he would have a uh heel side, even like his whole indie run. I think he's been a face though the entire time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But you can do that on the indies when you're not in front of everybody every single week.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_03

It doesn't work the same. And like I love Danhausen. I just I just feel like they need to slow down a little bit to to not you know blow their load on this in the first year he's there and then have nothing for him.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They've already started to blow their load on Danhausen. He's become the biggest thing in D.

SPEAKER_03

Right, and I get you have to ride the momentum when the momentum is there, but you don't need to overreach that momentum.

SPEAKER_01

And funny is so I'm not gonna listen to Busted Open going forward because I know it's just basically gonna be them uh standing behind whatever WWE does. Like, sure, they'll try to throw in the occasional, like, you know, I'm not a fan of this or that, but Tommy Dreamer basically uh saying that he loved the Dan House and Joe Hendry segment. And it's it's just the first, it's like the first day.

SPEAKER_03

But Dreamer always seems to get behind those stupid segments. I say if you listen to Busted Open when Lagrecca and Bully are tearing shit up, Tommy's always the one that's like our defending it, no matter what it is.

SPEAKER_01

Like say like Ryan Garcia helped Hendry get over what?

SPEAKER_00

No, that didn't help at all.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, he said that like like fans are gonna remember two weeks from now, like, oh, I'm gonna cheer Joe Hendry more because Ryan Garcia hit him in the back with a guitar.

SPEAKER_03

Get the fuck out of here. Like, what there's there's a reason why TNA led Tommy Jammer go, okay? He doesn't have the best creative mind. But I think I don't listen to Busted Open all that often, anyways, but Fully, who's been on a Legends deal for how many years now, at least since the mania we went to, so at least a couple years. Yeah, he has no problem firing shots at WWE on there.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, the yeah, but for the thing.

SPEAKER_02

I bet he still does because he doesn't give a shit. We're gonna see. He's been he's been let go by them several times. I don't think he cares.

SPEAKER_00

Because they already they already got so they're also not gonna be mentioning AEW anymore after they said they're not gonna be changing up anything, it's all gonna be the same, but they got rid of Thunder Rosa and something else happened. But they're definitely not gonna be mentioning AEW on on Bust Open anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, if WWE signing the checks, then they're gonna do whatever they're told.

SPEAKER_03

Right. But also, like in in Bully's case, if he goes on there and complains about what they do, he's gonna play it off as I'm just playing my gimmick. So, like, that's that's his loophole of still complaining about whatever he wants to complain about.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And and and while we're at it, and this is jumping off topic. So SummerSlam tickets, right? So they announced that uh that discount code with Justin Jefferson, right? That tickets were supposed to be as low as 25 bucks, blah, blah, blah. A public discount code that anybody could use to go in and get cheap SummerSlam tickets, right? So with that, we paid like 70 bucks for our seats for each night. They were super cheap. They were originally like 400, right? Which is just insane how cheap they were compared to where they started. So then for the club WWE folks who are paying 100 bucks a year for a subscription to be an insider to get special privileges, discount codes, special merch, uh, you know, early uh release tickets and all that stuff. All of those codes were sent out, they were all unique to each member, right? So I was I was asking, I was asking that question like, how are they gonna do discount codes? Is it all gonna be one blanket code? Because that's not exclusive, but they're gonna be unique codes, apparently. So I put in my unique code when they sent me an email, and the tickets were better for the Justin Jefferson code. So, like, how does that work? We're supposed to be insiders. Not that we needed tickets at that point, because I we had already got them, but come on, guys, what are you doing? Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

See, and not and not Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And then they're gonna have this club WWE set up at WWE Takeover, which is I guess replacing WWE World, not sure what I call it Takeover, with this like lounge setup and exclusive merch previews, which I guess they're gonna have the John Cena collection on display, maybe. You won't be able to see him though. Right. He actually's actually not gonna be there, he's gonna be invisible.

SPEAKER_03

Um here's the merch, and it's just empty tables.

SPEAKER_02

It's the special You Can't See Me edition.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I don't know, I thought that was interesting. I was like, that's that makes no sense at all to have an insider's club and then have a a code that is worse than the the public code that you gave out to to everybody already. I don't know. It's kind of weird to me. That is weird.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, I I came up with something in the middle of this talking.

SPEAKER_03

I came up with something for you in the middle of this talking. Oh. Yeah. I was gonna let you do something you love to do. I was gonna be like, tell us about some of the new figures they announced.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, geez.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna I was giving you for giving you the opportunity to talk about it because I know you want to.

SPEAKER_00

Let's try to read it to like like a handful of them though. Oh well, I posted some of them in our in our Discord, but uh I mean I'm actually in the I'm I'm actually gonna be getting rid of a lot of figures um once I come back from SummerSlam. Uh and how are you going to do that, Ryan? eBay.

SPEAKER_03

Um, when you're ready to do that, reach out to me. Because I I have found that uh there's another platform that my figures are flying on a lot faster than on eBay. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So um there I so I always get hyped up for all these new figures, like every single time like there's there's a Comic Con or something, and I'm like, wow, these figures are good. And it's like I say that every single time, and then they come out, and like I don't even like them, but I'm actually really liking a lot of these new figures. Like we're getting a K quick, um, which is cool from the Munda Night Wars uh line. We're also getting um triple A figures, which is sick. Um I'm I'm like I'll probably I kind of want to buy all of them, all the triple A figures. Sadly, I do too, and I'm getting rid of mine. I'm still like, man. Like we're getting a we're getting an ultimate psycho clown. What? Oh and I and I'm very like curious, I'm hoping like they would put like some triple A titles with some of these guys. Like, I'm really hoping. Um I am very curious whatever happened to the triple A trios titles because apparently like Psycho Clown was Trio's champion with Pagano and somebody else. They just haven't been seen since Triple A was bought by the B. Um, but there's a lot of Dan House. I mentioned earlier about Danhausen. They released there showed off like six Danhausen figures, and they're getting a stone, a cold Steve Austin part of the Monday Night Wars line, which is so stupid. That one's stupid. Um that one's cool. Um we're we're getting we're getting like some universal horrors crossovers, like Kevin Owens as Zombie Ed from Sean of the Dead, which I think is really cool. The uh cane as Mike Myers. Oh, the cocaine you mean? Yeah, that one's pretty cool. Um and then like another one of my favorites is the Matt Cardona Alt uh, I think it's uh defining moments Matt Cardona when he won the intercount on title at WrestleMania. Yeah. I like I like that one. And then there's just more coming out. Like I actually did like go ahead and get that Cody Ultimate that came that was from Amazon or whatever, the Amazon exclusive. I'm liking the ultimates. Shea Shea tried to put me on them like years ago, and I've come around on the ultimate, so I might just be buying more ultimates going for just because of they they also remind me more of like the AW Supreme figures, and even though we only got very so so many of those AEW Supreme figures before I don't even think Jazzware's doing AW figures anymore, but it is more nice.

SPEAKER_03

They announced some new ones, so it's they did.

SPEAKER_00

I just don't know who's doing them. I don't think it's Jazzware's doing them. It it claims to be Jazzwares. Oh, interesting.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know why, because they didn't do him any favors the first go round. No, absolutely not.

SPEAKER_00

Also getting a Dennis Rodman figure. I didn't notice that until just now. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh gosh. They're just gonna milk everything. A Penta Mattel Creations Ultimate with his WrestleMania 41 gear. Yeah, there's there's gonna be so many. There always is, it's nothing new.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, first time in the line, Jacqueline built a figure. Yeah, I saw that that's from the Munite Wars line. I do like the the Liv Morgan and Chucky.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, the Stone Cold in the um the doctor's stuff from that segment where he bashed Vince in the head with the bedpan.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh, that's where that's from. Um Dr. Stone Cold. Oh man. But yeah, a lot of new figures coming out. Um I'm I'm I I gotta be careful and not buy so many. You know you want to get the jelly roll elite. Uh maybe. If they had a post-malone elite, I would, for sure.

SPEAKER_03

There's a repo man elite coming. I hate when they do this because it makes me want to buy figures. You should. Xavier Woods with the huge hat. Xavier, oh my god. Yeah, that that big black hat he had with all the tassels that was like bigger than he was. But it's it's always funny to me when they're like, oh look at this figure coming. I'm like, that guy doesn't even work there. He doesn't even go here. Best accessory in a long time, Bronson Reed with the shool of follow.

SPEAKER_00

But I mean, I I was gonna talk about something else, but we could save that for next week, actually. We can save it for next week. It's actually it could it could be used as a big topic.

SPEAKER_01

Is it a big interesting topic?

SPEAKER_00

Uh kinda.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Well, you don't have to spoil it. It's okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'll tell all you guys in a couple days.

SPEAKER_03

Spoil it.

SPEAKER_01

What is it?

SPEAKER_00

Vince McMahon potentially coming back. Oh, geez, no.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We need Vince back. We need Vince back in pro wrestling.

SPEAKER_01

Well, if Vince comes back, then Austin Theory is world champion.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. No. What? You don't want to you don't want Theory as your world champion?

SPEAKER_02

No, not at all. But did you not see how he bashed in Otis's brains last night? He could he can barely hold the vision together. He doesn't have to hold the vision together.

SPEAKER_01

He can just stand behind Maxine because that's what Maxine's for. Right. That's what the focal point is now. So, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know, Maxine can be women's world champion.

SPEAKER_01

Because it because apparently he's 240 pounds of dead weight.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he is.

SPEAKER_01

Who said that? Grayson Waller. That was the opening promo part of his opening. Yeah. I guess Grayson Waller's like the the the it thing now, apparently.

SPEAKER_03

He's like, oh, I'm coming back to NXT to win the NXT title. Good luck with that, bro.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_03

You didn't win it the first time, you ain't winning it this time.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_03

It'll be like when Apollo came back to NXT.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, to his credit, though, you know, Waller can actually talk on the mic. Yeah. And he can be intense. He can be a really good heel. So I mean, he'd be a nice foil for uh Tony D for sure, but it seems like um Santa well, what's his name? Montana.

SPEAKER_03

Cruz Montana.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it sounds like Montana might be next up for an NXT title shot. But that's face for face, though, which is kind of weird.

SPEAKER_03

Which I know uh Ryan did not like the name change. I mean, I didn't care for the name change either. I didn't want them to make a name change, but apparently it's uh much like the Royce Keys situation where uh it was like discussed changing the name, and Santana was like, Okay, well, I want to use this. Right. And it's some dedication to his father.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Well, at least he had some say. He got the he got to pick the name.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I I think they did that because they're like, we don't want you to use Mike Santana anymore, so you give us a new name that we can copyright and we can claim our own. Right. That's what they're gonna do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and it'll be like anybody else that's done, which is it's always funny to me when they pick and choose. Like, okay, Joe Hendry, you can stay Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, you can stay Ethan Page, Danhausen can stay Danhausen, but Mike Santana, that name's a little too generic. Let's go with Cruz Montana, because we already have one cruise here. Yeah, so yeah, Cruz del Toro, whatever the fuck.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think I think they allow people with larger platforms to stay themselves.

SPEAKER_03

It also I think it also really depends on what like I I've heard with Danhausen's contract, he was willing to sign over the rights to anything Danhausen during the limit during the terms of his contract.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, uh I mean, which he's gonna make bank off of it.

SPEAKER_03

So he's gonna make more his contract is gonna make more than what he was making otherwise. Yeah, and he gets the rights back to it when his when his contract ends. So it's not really yes, it's uh it's a we get so instead of so say like if he had changed his name, then WWE's gonna get everything from that name change. But this deal, they still are gonna take a large portion of that Danhausen stuff, he's still gonna get his portion, but he can just keep writing that name, knowing that when he comes out of it, it the value is gonna be more than it was when he came in.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. I mean, if that's the case, then I mean good for Danhausen on that contract.

SPEAKER_03

But but then a lot of people, a lot of people I think don't want to sign that over because they don't they they might feel like okay, if it fucks it up on the other side of things, if it messes up this name, then I lose that value coming out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Not many not many, there's not many Dan Housens out there.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I get it. I get it.

SPEAKER_03

Plus, it also seems to be a lot of times when it is their actual name that there seems to be problems. But more often than not, when they're using their actual name, they make them change it. Yeah. Okay. Which I guess isn't Danhausen Donovan Danhausen. I think so. So it is it is partially his real name, but I know Ethan Page is not Ethan Page's real name. Okay, wrap her up. Yeah, wrap her up, wrap it before you tap up. I'm giving you the uh the go home signal to hit a roll up, get to the finish.

SPEAKER_01

Wrap it up, Shane. All right, guys, thank you for for listening. I'm about to say thank you for watching, guys. Thanks for uh thinking I'm thinking I'm on YouTube. Yeah, I think I'm on YouTube. Uh thanks for listening to another episode of the Three Stages of Marks podcast. If you made it to the end of the episode, of course, you know, you get a GOAT star, a virtual GOAT star. Uh but yeah, appreciate you guys out there, and uh we'll catch you next week with some uh, I guess events McMahon topic and and probably some some SummerSlam stories.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, what they said. I won't have any SummerSlam stories for you guys. I wasn't invited. But else. Later, Mark.
